Seriously.. Did they make that Cadillac bumper with the hole cut out for the license plate? Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just stamp it and screw the plate to that???

That was in the early days of Corporate penny pinching. That extra metal could be sent back as scrap, reducing the actual cost of the bumper without losing structural integrity.

I live in WV where front plates aren’t needed (legally). I would restomod the shit out of that and leave that stupid hole with those stupid brackets.
